Cheat

This game uses a standard deck of cards without jokers, or two decks for particularly large groups.

Deal out cards evenly. Play begins to the left of the dealer. The first player plays the Aces in their hand face-down onto the middle of the table, declaring out loud the number of cards they played, e.g. if someone plays one card they would say “One Ace”.

The next player then does the same but with their Two cards, with play continuing around the table rising in rank each progressive player.

If at any point someone does not have the required rank of card, or they just want to dispose of more cards on their turn, they may choose to bluff and play cards that aren’t meant to be played.

If someone suspects another player of cheating on their turn, they can call out “Cheat!” and the card(s) just played are revealed. If the person who played the cards cheated, then they must pick up the entire pile. If all the cards are of the correct rank, the person who called Cheat must pick up the pile instead. Play then continues from the next rank with the next player.

The aim of the game is to dispose of all of one’s cards. The first person to do so is the winner.
